Making changes, starting with Meditation

So, how do we start to make changes in our life? A great place to start is mediation. It helps our minds stop and learn to focus internally. Healing begins within.

I'm always surprised at how taking a few minutes at the beginning of my day can set the tone for the whole day. I've set the intention for my day to be peaceful and calm. Practice brings about slow change.

It helped me to have a program to follow.

Matt Clarkson offers several great programs on meditation and Qigong. They go beyond just how to meditate, but includes wise insights on becoming more centered. Meditation takes practice and commitment. How much do you want to change? Start slowly, just 5 -10 minutes per day at first. I find once I get started, I don't want to stop! So, the hardest part is taking the time to sit down and be still.

Our brains actually develop new neuropathways that are like cutting new paths through the forest. The more we travel the path, the easier it becomes!
